Refund and Returns Policy

Cancellations and returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 45 days. If 45 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund.
Orders may be canceled prior to shipment or mixing, whichever occurs first. Once an order has shipped or been mixed, it cannot be canceled.

Due to the sensitivity of seed to storage and handling conditions, all returns are subject to approval at the sole discretion of Hamilton Native Outpost.

Return requests may be evaluated based on factors including, but not limited to:

  • Storage conditions (e.g., temperature and humidity)
  • Exposure to moisture
  • Time since delivery
  • Condition of the seed upon return

Approved returns of single species seed will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Custom mixes are generally non-returnable. In limited cases, returns may be approved at the sole discretion of Hamilton Native Outpost and will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Restocking fees help offset the labor and administrative costs associated with processing returned seed. Because many seed orders are individually weighed and packaged specifically for each order, returned seed often requires inspection, handling, inventory reconciliation, and, in some cases, additional testing before it can be returned to inventory.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original freight and handling charges are non-refundable.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your account again. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at natives@hamiltonnativeoutpost.com.
