Healthy Soil Profile: Diverse Native Grassland vs. Fescue

A Diverse Native Grassland with native warm and cool season grasses as well as native forbs and legumes creates healthy soil and creates soil organic matter.  This healthy soil has the additional benefit of capturing carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in the soil, which is called carbon sequestration. Planting Diverse Native Grasslands lowers the human carbon footprint by capturing carbon dioxide!
