Goats as Brush Control

Goats – Champions at Clearing Brush from Native Grasslands

Elizabeth Steele uses her Goats as Brush Control on a native Missouri prairie. Goats are excellent at brush control, eating many natives and invasives that other ruminants won’t touch.

Used as a very efficient tool to reduce the amount of brush on the land. They readily consume Sumac, Wild Plum, Dogwood, Multiflora Rose, Blackberries and Sericea Lespedeza.

They DO NOT enjoy Persimmons and Dewberries.
