Forestry Mulching & Removing Invasive Plants to Plant Natives with Elizabeth Steele and Kathy Freeze

Join Elizabeth Steele and Kathy Freeze as they discuss how best to tackle Kathy’s need to remove unwanted invasive plants (Winter Creeper, Japanese Honeysuckle & Multiflora Rose) and replace them with her desired diverse native grasses and forbs (wildflowers). Kathy hired a forestry mulcher to remove trees and underbrush, now she is planning on removing the remaining invasives, while keeping as many of her Elderberries and Gooseberries as possible. Then she will plant natives. Kathy plans to provide excellent habitat for quail, turkey and other native birds. This video should give the viewer an idea of the information discussed when they request a technical call with our staff. You will see the why, where, what and when questions that go into almost every plan for a diverse native planting. Thanks very much to Kathy for joining us in this informative video.
