Silphiums for Wildlife

Compass Plant (Silphium laciniatum), Prairie Dock (Silphium terebinthinaceum), Rosinweed (Silphium integrifolium), & Cup Plant (Silphium perfoliatum) provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including birds, insects, and mammals. From food to shelter and even a watering hole, the Silphiums are a great addition to any Diverse Native Grassland planting.
