Description
This mix contains the following amounts of seed per acre:
- Big Bluestem 0.6 PLS lbs
- Canada Wildrye 0.5 PLS lbs
- Composite/Tall Dropseed 0.1 PLS lbs
- Little Bluestem 0.6 PLS lbs
- Prairie Dropseed 0.150 PLS lbs
- Sideoats Grama 0.5 PLS lbs
- Switchgrass 0.17 PLS lbs
- Virginia Wildrye 1.0 PLS lbs
- Forb 20 PLS/ft2
This mix is for Signup 59/60.
Note: This forb mix has a minimum of 20 forbs and at least 3 species bloom in each season. No single species is included at rates over 10% or less than 0.1% of the entire mix. Annuals and biennials combined do not exceed 10% of the entire mix. This mix also has two features for the benefit of monarchs. First, the forb mix contains two or more milkweed species and these milkweeds make up at least 3% of the entire mix. Second, there are at least 6 species of monarch preferred nectaring plants (from Table 1).
The seed in this mix is Missouri Source Identified Class, otherwise known as Yellow Tagged, meaning that it is both genetically from and grown in Missouri, unless a statewide variance has been granted due to a lack of availability of a given species.
