Description
Scirpus atrovirens, also known as common bulrush or Dark Green Bulrush, is a grass-like perennial that is native to moist areas in the Eastern and Central United States. It is easily grown in moist to wet soils and prefers full sun to part shade, with shade taking preference during the hot summer months. Leaves are eaten by everything from trumpeter swans to livestock; seeds are eaten by voles and birds.
